To see all your sightings submitted through the ALA's Record a Sighting function only, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Atlas of Living Australia homepage, and Log in to the ALA, using the orange tab in the top right corner of the homepage.
  2. Select the Contribute to the ALA tile, then select Record a sighting in the ALA

  3. This will take you to the Record a sighting page. 

  4. You can also navigate to the Record a Sighting page from an individual species page (e.g. Eastern rosella), the link is below the map.

  5. To view all your sightings, click on the My sightings tab. 


Alternatively, you can also view your sightings using these steps:

  1. Go to the Atlas of Living Australia homepage, and Log in to the ALA, using the orange tab in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Click on the My profile tab in the top right corner
  3. Click View profile 
  4. Select View your timeline of sightings recorded through the Atlas.


If you're already logged in to the ALA, view your list of sightings by following this link: My sightings.


Your sightings should appear immediately in your My sightings list, however there is a delay (up to 24 hours) before they appear in searches of the ALA full repository.


To see your sightings submitted through both iNaturalist and ALA or just iNaturalist:


1. Go to the Atlas of Living Australia homepage, and Log in to the ALA, using the orange tab in the top right corner of the page.

2. Click on the My profile tab in the top right corner

3. Click View profile 

4. Click on the Link to my iNaturalist account in the grey box at the bottom



You will be redirected to iNaturalist and asked to log on with them.


5. Click on Authorize



6. Then the text in the grey box will show that your accounts are linked and gives you options about what you would like to view in the ALA
